NC SWIM athletes go top 10 in Sydney

NC Aquatic Swim Club was represented by 25 swimmers at last weekends Metropolitan Swimmming Championships. 73 clubs from all over Sydney's greater metropolitan area sent teams to these championships. NCAQ 's team, all trained by NCSWIM at the James Perryman pool had outstanding results finiahing 8th !in the overall pointscore (and the only club from the St George Sutherland area to place in the top 20.)
We are all so thriled This is our club's first time in the Top 10 at Metros. It was a big team effort with 5 swimmers winning 12 medals and a total of 12 swimmers swimming another 30 top 10 placings. The meet had a 61% PB rate.
Jake Baggaley won 2 Gold and 3 Slver medals, broke 3 Metropolitan records and swam another 2 top ten swims.. Andrew Kennedy broke 1 metro record and won 2 Gold and 2 Bronze medals and swam another 4 top 10 finishes. Chris Hoare won Gold in the 100 free with a huge PB swim. Metro debutante Rupert Naferrette amazed eveyone with a scintillating swim out of a lower heat which won him a Bronze in the 100m Backstroke. Rupert was also 4th in the 100 Breast. Joel Walker won a Bronze in the 100 Fly and acheived another 5 top 10 placings.
Top 10 finishes were acheived by Matt Spence (7/8 swims), Nicholas Hards (2/2), Jake Griffin (3/3), Bec Kennedy (1), John Woods (2), Elise Newman (1), Jarrod Bell (1) and Marcus Baggaley (1).
